(KTVI) – Extra sets of eyes will be watching the streets of the central west end to help keep the neighborhood safe. 91 new surveillance cameras will be going up in the area.
The Central West End's Neighborhood Security Initiative and The Washington University Medical Center are teaming up to buy and install the cameras.
16 cameras are already working and they hope to have all the cameras up by April first.
The cameras will be monitored around the clock and will only record public spaces.
