GRANITE CITY, IL (KTVI) – Granite City Senior High School is no longer on lock-down. School officials said a parent phoned in a tip about a threat on Monday morning. The school went on lock-down and the district sent out automated calls telling parents to come and pick up their kids.
Granite City police and school officials have since secured the school. The school district called off the lock-down around 12:30 pm.
Police are still investigating the threat but have not yet revealed what it is.
