Pine Lawn Seniors Get Free Gasoline

PINE LAWN, MO (KTVI) – Dozens of Pine Lawn, Missouri, senior citizens were given free gas for an early Christmas gift.

The gift comes from a private fund and a donation from the mayor. Mayor Sylvester Caldwell even pumped the gas for them, “I have been blessed this year, and this is just a way to give back.”

The seniors were given a voucher for $35.00. They also got a free carwash.

“It is great to know that someone has your back,” Janie Harrison said. “This gas really helped me out.”

Many of the senior citizens are on a fixed income.

“It has been a tough year for a lot of folks, so we hope this helps,” Caldwell explained.
