(KTVI) – Monday may be the last day for retail shopping before Christmas, but it also be the busiest shopping day for this holiday season as procrastinators pack the malls in search of those last minute gifts to complete their shopping lists.

Dr. Benjamin Akande, Dean of the Webster University School of Business, shares news this holiday shopping season may leave some retailers finding themselves in the red. Hurricane Sandy and the Newtown school shooting have changed consumer spending, as more people decide to spend time with family, instead of buying gifts.
