ITS A SOUTHERN TRACK…TOO FAR SOUTH…AGAIN…THE KEY TO FORECASTING WINTER..SOUTHERN STORMS..THE POSITION OF THE HIGH..NOT SO MUCH THE TRACK OF THE LOW…WITH THAT SAID…THE HUGE CANADIAN HIGH PRESSURE..WITH COLD AND DRY AIR…HAS THE POWER TO FORCE THE SOUTHER LOW PRESSURE…FURTHER SOUTH AND …EXPECT BLIZZARD WEATHER OVER SOUTHEAST MO AND SOUTHERN IL…THIS IS THE 10 TO 15+ INCH RANGE WILL OCCUR WITH WICKED WINDS…BLOWING AND DRIFTING…THEN AS WE MOVE NORTH…SOUTH AND ALONG A LINE FROM CUBA TO FARMINGTON AND PARK HILLS TO SPARTA TO CARLYLE…THAT IS WHERE 3 TO 6 INCHES WILL FALL…METRO ST.LOUIS MAYBE 1 INCH AND LESS AND LESS HEADING NORTH AND NORTHWEST AND WEST…THERE WILL BE HUGE SNOW CONTRAST OVER THE VIEWING AREA…RANGING FROM ZERO TO A FEW INCHES TO A MASSIVE SNOW…TRAVEL SOUTH AND SOUTHEAST WILL BE A MESS AND DANGEROUS. ANY SNOW PULLS AWAY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON…COLD AND WINDY THE TWO BIG FEATURES.
