ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– Some of the 4 million homeowners who lost their homes to foreclosure in 2009 and 2010 could be eligible for cash in a big government settlement with mortgage lenders.

The former homeowners have until Monday to sign up for a free review of their foreclosure to make sure no mistakes happened.

People could get a $100 to over $100,000.

The deadline has now been extended three times because so few of the four million homeowners have signed up for a review.

By mid-December, less than 10% had registered.
