Man Arrested For Firing Shots Into Air

PINE LAWN, MO (KTVI) – A man who celebrated the new year with a bang was in police custody Tuesday morning.  He was arrested by Pine Lawn after officers spotted the man firing his gun into the air as he drove through the intersection of Kenawah and Irving at midnight.

The 36-year-old was taken into custody after leading officers on a short chase. Officers say they recovered the man’s handgun and at least 20 shell casings.  Police are expected to apply for felony charges against him.
