Senator Kirk Returns To Capital Hill After Stroke
ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– It was an emotional day on Capitol Hill for Senator Mark Kirk and his family. The Illinois republican made a triumphant return to congress one year after he had a serious stroke.
Vice President Joe Biden was there to greet the senator.
Kirk made a remarkable recovery after having to learn to walk again.
The 53 year old celebrated by making the 45 step climb to the capitol building.
