(KTVI) – The Colorado cinema where 12 people were killed and dozens injured in a shooting rampage nearly six months ago, reopened Thursday night with a remembrance ceremony.
Some of the survivors and their families were treated to  a private screening of  “The Hobbit.”

But some victims say the pain is still too much to go back to the theater.

Several families boycotted the event, calling it a public relations ploy by the theater’s owner, Cinemark.

Some of the victims from the mass shooting have filed federal lawsuits against Cinemark, alleging it should have provided security for the midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises”.
