(KTVI) – Controversy is not usually a word that comes to mind when thinking of toys. But, it is exactly what continues to pop up when referring to the action figures depicting characters from Clint Eastwood’s current movie ‘Django Unchained.’
Production on the toys were discontinued by the movie’s production company, after receiving several negative responses from African American Advocacy groups. According to TMZ, eBay pulled the plug on sellers selling and redistributing the toys Wednesday night as well.
The popular consumer to consumer sales site attributes their decision to the same decision of the original manufacturer. The site’s officials also stated the controversial the slave toys also were in violation of their own Offensive Materials policy.
