(KTVI) – On the wonderful world wide web you can have a long-term girlfriend who doesn’t exist, have photos of you go viral that you never appeared in or read that you’ve been pronounced dead. According to TMZ, that’s exactly what reggae singer Shaggy experienced as he took to the internet to announce he is still breathing.

‘Mr. Boombastic’ became the latest victim of an online hoax after a rumor started that he was stabbed and died. Fake info was added to the singer’s Wikipedia page and a trending topic for #RIPshaggy was also circulating through Twitter.
