Women In Combat Comes to Forefront

(KTVI) - Women will soon have unprecedented opportunities to serve on the front line during battle.  U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta will make that announcement Thursday.

The groundbreaking move recommended by the Joint Chief's of Staff overturns a 1994 rule prohibiting women from being assigned to smaller ground combat units.  Retired U.S. Army soldier Lori Patterson gives her reaction.
