Jon Benet Ramsey: Grand Jury Voted To Indict Parents
(CNN) – The JonBenet Ramsey case is back in the headlines, after revelations from some of the people who served on the grand jury.
The Boulder Daily Camera reports several jurors say the grand jury voted to indict Ramsey’s parents in 1999 on charges of child abuse resulting in death.
You’ll recall, six-year-old Ramsey was found dead in the basement of her parent’s Colorado home on Christmas in 1996.
Despite the grand jury’s recommendation, Boulder County district attorney Alex Hunter decided not to file charges and refused to sign the indictment.
In 1999, he said there wasn’t enough evidence to prosecute the case.
Hunter has not commented on this latest report.
It’s important to note, in 2008, DNA evidence cleared Ramsey’s parents of any wrongdoing.
