ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The Salvation Army will be better able to serve those in need after a very special ceremony on Monday. Three new mobile canteens were dedicated at the Midland division headquarters in West St. Louis. The canteens serve as mobile kitchens that can make 350 to 500 meals at a time during disasters. They can also serve as a power source.
The new canteens are replacing older models. Funding came from Beacon Roofing Supply, the United Way and other Salvation Army donations.
