(KTVI) – Good news. You might not have to buy that ‘last on earth’ box of Twinkies off eBay for thousands of dollars. Why? Because the Twinkie might be making a comeback.

Hostess is nearing a deal to sell its “Twinkie Brand” and other cakes to two private equity firms. The deal with Apollo Global Management and C-Dean Metropoulos & Company is worth more than $400 million.

Meanwhile, McKee Foods is offering $27.5 million in cash for the Hostess “Drake” line, which includes brands such as “Devil Dogs and Yodels.”
