A sold out Chaifetz Arena saw one the Billikens best efforts in years as they blasted the ninth ranked team in the country, Butler, by the score of 75-58. 10,612 excited SLU fans saw Jordair Jett toss in a team high 19 points. Dwayne Evans added 15 points with Rob Loe adding 12 points. The Billikens built a 17 point 1st half lead at 31-14 and led by as many as 20 points in the second half. The key to the Saint Louis win, forcing Butler into 23 turnovers.
Before the game, Fox 2 Sports Director Martin Kilcoyne talked it over the Billikens Athletic Director Chris May on the importance of playing a ranked team like Butler to build the program's NCAA resume.
