Cardinals Sign Rzepczynski To Contract, Avoid Arbitration

(KTVI)-The Cardinals signed Marc Rzepczynski to a one year contract Friday. The Cardinals did not release the terms of the deal. but he will likely be making between his asked for his salary of $1.3 million and the Cardinals counter offer of $900,000. 

Rzepczynski was the only left-handed pitcher in the Cardinals’ bullpen for the entire 2012 season. He finished with an ERA of 4.24. Randy Choate has been added to the Cardinals’ roster.

Third baseman David Freese is the only arbitration eligible player the Cardinals have left
