(KTVI) – The state of Florida promoted its economic development by unveiling a new logo. The new logo, however, has caused a rift in the gender gap.
The new logo features the words “Florida” with the tagline “The perfect climate for business” underneath. The letter “I” in Florida is replaced with a graphic of a tie.
Women have commented on the new logo saying it’s “sexist” because most women don’t wear ties.
A spokesman for Enterprise Florida said the logo was reviewed by two boards. One of the reviewing groups included 25 women chief marketing officers. The logo was unveiled to the company’s board before the logo went public.
Enterprise Florida says they have no intention of changing the logo.
