Washington University To Study Obesity In Pregnant Women

(KTVI) – Seventy percent of women getting pregnant today are overweight or obese.  In St. Louis, it’s even higher with more obese or morbidly obese pregnancies. This increases the risk of death in mothers and newborns.

Washington University researchers Alison Cahill discusses this health issue and a study that seeks solutions.

The 24-month study called, “Prego” needs participants.  Women must be 18 years or older to participate. Women who are interested should call 314-362-4661.
