ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Heat-Up St. Louis collected a record $125,000 during its 13th Annual Hardee’s Rise and Shine for Heat Fundraiser. The regional not-for-profit charity helps seniors and the disabled with their heating bills in both Missouri and Illinois.
The money was raised by the sale of Hardee’s Sausage ‘N Egg biscuit sandwiches and tips given to 535 volunteers serving as “celebrity greeters” through more than 60 participating Hardee’s restaurants in the St. Louis region. The St. Louis Rasm, the NFL, and Home State Health also made donations to the Rise and Shine efforts.
In 2012, the efforts of $90,000.00.
Rise and Shine fundraiser canisters will remain in Hardee’s locations through the weekend, so the total collected will go up.
