ST. LOUIS, MO  (KTVI) – The St. Louis Blues have recalled goaltender Jake Allen from their minor league club in Peoria.  Allen will join the team before its next game in Detroit on Wednesday.

Allen was the back up netminder for the Blues recently while Goalie Jaroslav Halak had recovered from a groin injury.

Halak was reactivated for the game Monday against Los Angeles, but appeared to re-injure himself during pre-game warm ups.  Brian Elliott started the game in net and the Blues skated to a 4-1 loss against the Kings.

Allen and Elliott appear to be the team’s goalies heading into the contest Wednesday against the Red Wings.
