ST. LOUIS,MO (KTVI)-- For some couples Valentine’s Day ends with a proposal. For others, it’s a day to get married.

But for a lucky few, it means a chance to do both all over again.

They are not as nervous as they were the first time, nor as steady, nor as young. But each will tell you this time they are even more in love, marching down the aisle at the St. Louis Activity Center on Valentine’s Day to renew their vows.

Each couple, of course, has well worn story about how they met.

For john and Alice Jennings, while on their first date, they fell in love truly by accident thanks to a driver as old then as they are now. John and Alice would both end up in the hospital and while recovering together, they also mended their relationship and 47 years ago got married.

Richard and Melba Aguilar were married 63 year ago and have now been remarried for one day.

While we enjoyed hearing all these stories, it was a story about hearing that topped them all.

They say love is blind but for John and Alice Jennings, it was also deaf.

It is also important if you want to dance and this Valentine’s Day they did. In fact, they all did, moving a little slower, clinging a little tighter, proving true love never gets old.
