Gas Prices Shoot Up Overnight

(KTVI)—FOX 2 received a lot of phone calls Saturday morning from viewers reporting a jump in gas prices.  Overnight, the price of a gallon of regular gas jumped $0.20-$0.25, to around $3.69 a gallon in Missouri.  Prices in Illinois are reportedly back up around $3.90 a gallon.

The price of oil fell below $96.00 a barrel Friday but gas prices continue to rise. Analysts say many refineries have slowed operations for seasonal maintenance which pushes up prices.
