911 Call For Cigarettes Gets Elderly Woman Arrested

OSCEOLA COUNTY, FL – An elderly woman is sitting in county jail for calls to 9-11.  According to WFTV dispatchers said the woman had no good reason for calling.  They say Joan Mayo just called up and cussed and screaned at the 9-11 operators.

Neighbors say she was looking for cigarettes.

Police came to pick up Mayo  after her sixth call from her cell phone. Joan Mayo was arrested and is in jail on charges of mis-using 9-11.
