Area Governments And Utilities Bracing For Thursday’s Winter Storm
ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) – That threat of ice has power crews and emergency responders concerned. From St. Louis to Lake St. Louis, they’re gearing up for a worst-case scenario.
Area government met Wednesday night in the basement of the Soldiers Memorial in downtown St. Louis to open the emergency operation center, to coordinate resources to battle the expected winter storm Thursday. Officials say, Ameren has mobilized 1,500 workers, ready to roll and tackle any power outages.
