Copper Thieves Caught After Ripping Gutters From Home

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A police officer and his canine helped catch two copper thieves in south St. Louis near Devonshire and Prague around 4:00am Wednesday.

A woman called police after she saw the men pulling the copper drain pipes off her home.

The men lead police on a foot chase through the neighborhood.

One was caught when a police dog bit him. An officer caught the other.

A ball of copper guttering was recovered.

Police say the men face felony theft charges.
