(KTVI) – An entry into the James Dyson awards is causing a stir on the internet. The submission from a student studying at the University of Malaya is for a new airplane seat design. The new seat design is called AirGo and promises, “a low-cost yet highly ergonomic approach to economy class cabin design.”

The new seats offer first class comfort at economy class prices. The design departs from the ’80s styled seats offered on current fleets and offers a slick minimalist appeal of ’60s design.

Alireza Yaghoubi says the inspiration for the product comes from not being able to afford first class seats. He says that the seats in today’s airplanes do not meet the standards of current design technology. That many passengers complain about being uncomfortable.
