  • This heroic mail man stopped his mailtruck on the southbound Rte. 141 ramp off of Highway 40 (cars weren't moving anyway), got out of his mail truck with his shovel, and dug out several cars stuck on the ramp. A line of cars, including mine, were able to move again after more than 30 minutes sitting on the ramp. I guess the saying is true -- "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds." I would add "and nonapppointed rounds". He is my hero. My normal commute from downtown to Ballwin on Westbound 40 should take 35 minutes; today it took three hours. This postman made my nightmare commute a little less nightmarish. And, when I got home, my mail had been delivered!
