ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI)– Conditions in St. Charles were windy and snowy throughout the morning and drivers took their time on the roads. There were also lots of cars struggling to get to their destinations. The St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department says they assisted more than 20 people who were stuck in the snow and involved in fender benders.
As for businesses, in some areas it looked like a ghost town with closed signs taped all over windows and doors. Business managers say employees have been calling in all day because they were trapped in their neighborhoods and could not make it in to work. There were also whiteout conditions in rural areas.
