Blues Place Tarasenko On Injured Reserve
(KTVI)- St. Louis Blues rookie forward Vladimir Tarasenko was placed on injured reserve Friday. Tarasenko suffered a suspected upper body injury in the Blues’ loss to the Colorado Avalanche Wednesday night. Tarasenko took a high hit to the face from the Avalanche’s Mark Oliver and fell to the ice in the third period.
The team has recalled forward Chris Porter from the AHL Peoria Rivermen.
Tarasenko has appeared in all 17 of the Blues’ games this season posting 12 points including six goals and six assists. He has tied Wayne Babych (1978) for the best start to a rookie career in franchise history.
