***A WINTER’S WEEK ON THE WAY…A MOISTURE MIX, GUSTY WINDS AND BELOW AVERAGE TEMPERATURES DAY AND NIGHT***

MONDAY:

SOME SUN TO START…THEN INCREASING CLOUDS…CHILLY…BREEZY
WINDS: EAST 10-25 M.P.H.
HIGH: 43 DEGREES

MONDAY NIGHT:

CLOUDS, WINDY AND COLD WITH PERIODS OF WIND DRIVEN RAIN
WINDS: EAST 15-30 M.P.H.
LOW: 35 DEGREES.

TUESDAY:

CLOUDS…WINDY AND COLD…PERIODS RAIN…THEN A MIX OF RAIN AND WET SNOW DEVELOPING INN THE AFTERNOON
WINDS: WEST 15-35 M.P.H.
HIGH: 40 DEGREES…FALLING IN THE AFTERNOON

PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW AND HIGH WINDS TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY..COLD ALL WEEK

THE WEATHER DISCO:

A MAJOR WINTER STORM IN PLAY FOR THIS WEEK…EARLY TO MID WEEK…WITH A VARIETY OF WEATHER…CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST MISSOURI INTO CENTRAL IL WILL GET HAMMERED BY THIS SYSTEM…A STORM COMING OUT OF THE TEXAS PANHANDLE AND TRACKING RIGHT OVER THE BI-STATE REGION…A CLASSIC WINTER STORM FOR US…RAIN IN FRONT THEN AS WE GET ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE SYSTEM AND SLIGHTLY COLDER AIR GETS SUCKED IN…WE SEE A KICK TO RAIN AND WET SNOW AND THEN SNOW…A LOT OF MOISTURE WITH THE SYSTEM…BUT TAT THIS POINT THE BULK OF THE WEATHER IN METRO STL WILL BE RAIN AND HIGH WINDS…THEN SOME SNOW ON THE BACK EDGE…STILL LOTS OF QUESTIONS…NOTHING CAST IN STONE…THESE THINGS ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR SLOW PUSH AND SMALL SHIFTS IN THE TRACK…20 TO 50 MILES CAN MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE…WITH THAT SAID…AT THIS POINT…THE ZONE OF SNOW,,,WHERE THE WATCH IS NOW UO…OUTSIDE OF THE VIEWING AREA WILL SEE UP TO A FOOT OF WIND DRIVEN HEAVY SNOW…HERE IN THE REGION…SOME SNOW WRAPPING IN TUESDAY AFTERNOON, TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY…THE AMOUNTS LOOK LIGHT RIGHT NOW…BUT PLEASE STAY UP TO DATE.
