CHICAGO, IL (KTVI) – Chicago police arrested 19 teenagers and shut down a shopping mall during a disturbance on Saturday. Two people were injured.
According to police, it happened at the Ford City Mall and involved both males and females between 13 to 18 years old. Police say a large group of teens started causing a disturbance inside the mall which spilled out onto the parking lot where some teens climbed on top of cars.
A least two people were injured and most of the teens were charged with misdemeanor mob action. A 16-year-old was charged with battery after attacking a mall security guard who was trying to evacuate the shopping center.
