WENTZVILLE, MO (KTVI)– Western St. Charles County residents got a taste of the snow that made life miserable in areas about an hour or so west on Interstate 70.
Several inches of heavy snow fell in the Wentzville area making morning travel a little dicey in some areas.
“My daughter ran off the road early this morning,” said resident Ed Belter. “There was about 5 to 6 inches of snow on the highway. The interstates are good though.”
Still, it was a lot better in Wentzville than in places like Columbia, about 85 miles to the west, leaving St. Charles county residents feeling like they had dodged not just a bullet, but a cannonball.
“It didn`t miss us by much,” said resident Jeana Hill. “We got about another three inches last night. Our kids like it, but we don`t much care for it.”
