NEW CASTLE, IN – A man in New Castle, Ind. was arrested after police said he called 911 multiple times requesting a cheeseburger.
Police said Gregory Jackson, 52, was arrested at his apartment last Friday on a warrant issued two days prior to his bizarre 911 call. Jackson, who has a lengthy arrest record, was wanted for failing to show up for a hearing.
Jackson’s arrest record includes at least 13 convictions for public intoxication, as well as criminal recklessness and dealing in a controlled substance.
Henry County Sheriff Butch Baker told Muncie’s The Star Press that Friday’s dinner was a peanut butter-and-jelly sandwich, not cheeseburgers.
He was held without bond and is expected to appear in court Wednesday.
