Someone Impersonating Franklin County Humane Society
UNION, MO (KTVI)- The Franklin County Humane Society is sending out a warning about a white van driving around the Lonedell, MO area with “humane society” on it. The van is not associated with the organization. It was last seen trying to pick up dogs.
According to their website, the Franklin County Humane Society does have a white van that takes animals to locations to be adopted. But it is clearly marked with FCHS signage and does not pick up animals. The group is worried that imposters may be trying to steal pets to sell them to labs or potentially as bait dogs for pitbull fights.
If you see the van, try to get a plate number and call police.
