Fatal Car Crash In North St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Two cars have been involved in a serious accident at the intersection of North Broadway and Branch in North St. Louis.  One person is confirmed dead in the crash. Two more victims are in critical condition, one is in serious condition.

A Ford Explorer side swiped the St. Louis City License Collector’s vehicle at 9th street and North Market.  The driver called 9-11 and said he saw the SUV travel on the highway and exit on Branch.

The Ford Explorer ran a stop sign at the intersection of Branch and Broadway and got into an accident with a gray Pontiac.

The three men inside the Pontiac car were trapped.  They had to be taken out of the car by the St. Louis fire department.  The driver of the Pontiac was pronounced dead at the scene.  The two male passengers of the Pontiac are in critical condition at the hospital.

The driver of the Ford Explorer has been examined in the hospital.  He was arrested by police.
