  • I am sending this photo in, not for the looks or size of the snowmen, but for the shear determination of my 11 year old son. Emmitt started building a snowman early this morning, and quit for awhile to go sledding. The hill where he was sledding he later started rolling a snowball. He and his sister were able to get it onto the parking lot when his sister couldn't help any longer. He was NOT going to give up, so he ran and asked me to help him. We rolled it a few times, try to shed some weight off it, but it was WAY too much for me, and I am a pretty strong woman. I told him that we just couldn't do it, and maybe we should start rolling the ball up where he originally started the snowman. Now we are believers and he is in the Awana's program up at FBCArnold, and he stood his ground and told me that Peter walked on water because he believed. Now knowing that all things are possible WITH God, I was put in my place and we prayed and told the Lord that if we were going to do this, He needed to step in. And He did!! When finished, the snowman was taller than him at 5'3, and me at 5'4! The end result was a family of 4. It took him a total of 3 hours. I am literally amazed at his determination and patience!! He definitely got that from his father!! Thanks for letting me share. Lisa Rodgers
