Two House Fires Burning In South St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Firefighters have been called to a first alarm fire in South St. Louis. The fire is at a home in the 3400 block of Magnolia. The fire started around 12:30pm. Heavy smoke and flames were shooting through the roof of the three story building when firefighters arrived. People occupying the building made it out safe.

The fire started in the basement and spread throughout the building.

One firefighter received minor injuries and has been transported to the hospital.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation

We also have a report of a second first alarm house fire in South St. Louis near the 4,000 block of Morganford. This fire also started at around 12:30pm. Residents have been evacuated.
