Dave Murray’s Latest STL forecast and weather disco…For THE WEEKEND…APRIL 6-7, 2013

***A SPRING WEEKEND ON THE WAY…GREAT SATURDAY…70’S THEN THE SPRING UNSETTLED PATTERN DIGS IN FOR A LONG STAY WITH WAVES OF RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS***

SATURDAY:

PARTLY SUNNY, WINDY AND WARM
WINDS: SOUTHWEST 15-35 M.P.H.
HIGH: 75 DEGREES

SATURDAY NIGHT:

PARTLY CLOUDY…BREEZY…WARMER AT NIGHT
WINDS: SOUTHWEST 10-20 M.P.H.
LOW: 49 DEGREES.

SUNDAY:

LOTS OF CLOUDS WITH SCATTERED RAIN AND STORMS…THE FOCUS ON THE AFTERNOON…WINDY AND STILL MILD
WINDS: SOUTHWEST 15-30 M.P.H.
HIGH: 69 DEGREES

WIDESPREAD RAIN AND STORMS SUNDAY NIGHT…ENDING EARLY MONDAY

THE WEATHER DISCO:

THE ZONAL FLOW CONVERTING TO A SOUTHWEST FLOW OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS…A FLOW THAT WILL HANG A WAVING FRONT OVER THE BI-STATE REGION…THIS BECOMING THE RUNNING BOARD FOR WAVES OF RAIN AND STORMS…A SOILD SPRING PATTERN. WINDY AND WARM SATURDAY…MORE AND MORE UNSETTLED SUNDAY…ESPECIALLY IN THE AFTERNOON…INCREASING RAIN AND STORMS…A SOILD SHOT OF STORMS SUNDAY NIGHT…THEN A BREAK FOR MUCH OF MONDAY…I THINK WE GET OPENING DAY IN…PERFECT TIMING FOR THE BREAK. THEN THE NEXT WAVE ROLLS IN MONDAY NIGHT AND MORE WAVES TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY…MAYBE EVEN LONGER THAN THAT. SEVERE WEATHER QUESTIONS…I DON’T SEE A WIDESPREAD OUTBREAK FOR US.BUT A FEW STORMS COULD FIRE STRONG TO SEVERE IN THIS RUN…MAIN FEATURES BEING HIGH WINDS AND HAIL…AGAIN..THIS IS THE SET UP FOR A WIDESPREAD OUTBREAK. ANOTHER KEY…NIGHT TEMPS WILL ONLY FALL TO ABOUT 50 DEGREES…THIS WILL GET THE TREES GOING BIG TIME AND IN TURN–HERE COMES THE TREE POLLEN SEASON. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE.
