Shots Fired At Detectives In North City

NORTH ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-Two people are in custody after shots were fired at St. Louis Police detectives Saturday night.  About 10:15pm, Special Operations Detectives spotted a vehicle driving erratically in the 2600 block of Madison in north St. Louis heading east. The detectives followed on Madison and saw three suspects get out of the car and run onto an empty parking lot.

As the detectives drove by, the suspects fired multiple gunshots at their car. One detective returned fire, but did not strike anybody.

Two suspects were arrested, one 18 and one 19 years old. Two guns were recovered. A third suspect remains fled the scene and remains at large. No one was injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
