The Cardinals once again had great starting pitching. And this time it led to a win. Cards beat the Reds 2-1 to end a three game losing streak. Jaime Garcia worked 8 innings and only gave up 1 run. Edward Mujica closed it out by striking out the side in the 9th inning. Mujica strikes out Joey Votto, Brandon Phillips and Jay Bruce. Matt Holliday provided all the offense with a 2-run homer in the 6th inning.
