“Star Trek vs. Star Wars” at the Saint Louis Science Center

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Make the case for your favorite science fiction franchise when the Saint Louis Science Center presents “Star Trek vs. Star Wars” at the Saint Louis Science Center’s First Friday event on May 3, 2013.

Enjoy and take part in a variety of free, sci-fi themed activities including:

  • The Great Debate: Star Trek vs. Star Wars, featuring the Webster University Forensics and Debate Team (8 PM) The winning team determines the free movie - either Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991) or Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983) in the OMNIMAX® Theater at 10 p.m.
  • Costume Contest
  • First Friday’s Trivia
  • Planetarium demonstrations: Where Are the New Worlds? (6:30 p.m.) and Alien Auroras (7:30 p.m.)
  • Space-themed photo booth
  • Free Public telescope viewing (Archery Field) at the James S. McDonnell Planetarium (weather permitting).

Regular activities by paid admission include:

  • OMNIMAX movies: Air Racers, Hubble, and Space Station  ($6)
  • Experience Flight: Ride our flight simulators ($5)
  • LASERIUM® laser shows ($10)
