LOS ANGELES (KTVI) – The Blues had plenty of scoring chances Saturday in Los Angeles but couldn’t find the net in a 1-0 loss to the Kings in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinal series. The Blues lead the series 2 games to 1.

The Kings’ Slava Voynov’s second-period goal was the only one of the game. It came as the Kings kept slapping away at a loose puck in the crease.  LA goalie Quick stopped all 30 shots he faced.

St. Louis was going for its first 3-0 series lead since the 2001 conference semifinals. With four chances Saturday, the Blues power play is now in an 0 for 12 slump. Goalie Brian Elliott made 20 saves and looked strong despite allowing the game’s lone goal.
