ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Two Missourians are accused of stealing about $100,000 in merchandise from Sam’s Club and reselling the items on eBay.

Police say James Baggio, 41 and Mary Sue Scott, 39, of St. Joseph, Missouri visited stores in seven states including locations in St. Louis and St. Charles. They would find a large container like a trash can or large box containing a cheap item. They would then remove the contents and fill the empty box with more expensive products like electronics or a pet product called Frontline. They hid the cheaper products in the store. They would pay for the items checked in boxes containing cheaper items. The two would then sell the items on the popular online auction website eBay.com.

If convicted they face up to five years in prison or a fine of $250,000.
