Elderly Couple Tied Up, Beaten By Home Invasion Suspect

OVERLAND, MO (KTVI)-- An Elderly couple was tied up and beaten by a man who broke into their Overland home, according to the Overland Chief of Police.

It happened in September of 2012, but the suspect is still on the streets.

"We are not going to stop looking for this guy," Chief Michael Laws said. "Shocking is the right word to describe this crime."

Police have released a photo of the suspect. It was taken when he tried to use a debit card he stole from the victims at an ATM machine in Cahokia, Illinois.

The chief said the suspect stole several things from the home and left the victims tied up and covered in blood.

Neighbors described a brutal looking crime scene. "There were outside with wires on their hands and ankles," they said.

The suspect is a black male, medium to dark complexion, short hair, about 5'9" and he weight is around 205 lbs.  If you have any information, call police at 314-428-1221.
