Lance Lynn threw six shutout innings, Allen Craig and David Freese homered and Jon Jay bowled over Dodgers catcher A.J. Ellis as the Cardinals shutout L.A. 7-0 on Friday night in Southern California. Lynn struck out nine and raised his season record to 7-1. Craig and Freese both hit home runs to pace the Redbirds offense. Jon Jay scored on a Freese second inning double after he bowled over the Dodgers catcher A.J. Ellis, knocking the ball loose and allowing Jay to score.
