NORMANDY, MO (KTVI) - A person was rushed to the hospital early Wednesday morning, after fire trapped them in the basement of a Normandy home.

Firefighters from the Northeast Fire Protection District reportedly rushed to a house on Normandy Place near Lucas and Hunt Road around 1:30 a.m.

The home looked fine on the outside.  But a person was reportedly fighting for their lives inside.  Firefighters from Northeast, Mid-County and Berkeley helped rescue that victim.  Paramedics then took them to the hospital in unknown condition.

The investigation continues.
