Yadier Molina must've know what was coming. The Cardinals catcher decided to serve his one game suspension from Major League Baseball. Spent Wednesday night watching the Cards game with Arizona from home. Cardinals lost to the Diamondbacks 10-3 at Busch Stadium. Joe Kelly got the start and did a rock solid job pitching 5 and 2/3 innings giving up one earned run. A costly error by Matt Holliday allowed Arizona to take the lead. Then it got worse. Maikel Cleto was called up from Memphis to give the bullpen some relief but he was hit hard including a grand slam off the bat of Arizona's Paul Goldschmidt. David Freese extended his hitting streak to 15 games and Matt Carpenter extended his hitting streak to 14 games.
Here's Molina commenting on serving his suspension before tonight's game.
