Collinsville Man Sentenced To Prison For Child Porn

(KTVI) A Collinsville man has been sentenced in federal court to prison for providing access to child pornography for download.  According to a release from the Department of Justice Jonathan Mills, 36,  will be spending the next 6 ½ years in prison.  He will then have to spend the next decade on federal supervised release and register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

The Secret Service and the Southern Illinois Cyber-Crime Unit identified that Mills as offering child porn over peer-to-peer files sharing services. Investigators found over 69,000 images and video files of child pornography on his computers.  Mills admitted to viewing the images and video files that were found on his computer.

This case is part of “Project Safe Childhood.”  This is a nationwide initiative to stop the child sexual exploitation and abuse.
