ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Firefighters put out a fire caused by children playing with matches.  Firefighters arrived at 3157 Potomac Street to find heavy flames, but were able to contain the fire. While no one was hurt, the home suffered extensive damage. A family of six, two adults and four children have been displaced.

The fire was in the rear of a brick two-story home, on the second floor. Two separate families live in the building, one family per floor.

The Red Cross is offering to help the family on the first floor.
